Golf Fore Saugeen Hospice Raises More Than $75,000
The 2026 Golf Fore Saugeen Hospice tournament was another tremendous success, raising more than $75,000 in support of bringing compassionate hospice care closer to home.
Held on June 16 at the Walkerton Golf & Curling Club, the annual event welcomed 63 teams of golfers, along with sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community supporters for a memorable day of fellowship and fundraising. Participants enjoyed a relaxed, non-competitive round of golf, delicious food throughout the day, fun games and contests, and a popular silent auction featuring an outstanding selection of donated items.
Even a brief afternoon rain shower couldn't dampen the enthusiasm. From the first tee-off to the final putt, the day was filled with laughter, generosity, and a shared commitment to helping make Saugeen Hospice a reality.
Thanks to the incredible support of sponsors, golfers, silent auction donors, volunteers, and community supporters, this year's tournament raised more than $75,000 to help bring compassionate end-of-life care closer to home.
"Golf Fore Saugeen Hospice continues to demonstrate what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a common purpose," said Julie Johnston, Director of Fund Development & Operational Readiness at Saugeen Hospice Inc. "The volunteer committee delivered an exceptionally well-organized event, our sponsors and golfers were incredibly generous, and even a passing rain shower couldn't dampen the spirit of the day. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this year's tournament such an outstanding success."
Saugeen Hospice extends its sincere thanks to the volunteer committee, golfers, sponsors, donors, silent auction contributors, and everyone who supported this year's tournament. Your generosity is helping bring compassionate hospice care closer to home for individuals and families across southern Bruce-Grey, Wellington North and North Huron communities.
Plans are already underway for next year's tournament, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another outstanding day on the course in support of Saugeen Hospice Inc. Watch our page for details.
