Johnathon Hooper is a dedicated repeat participant in the Hike for Saugeen Hospice. He loves the outdoors and the peaceful rhythm of a good hike, which has already taken him to past events in Hanover and Durham.

But there’s a deeper reason Johnathon keeps coming back. He hikes in loving memory of his mom, who passed away from cancer. Although she didn’t have the support of hospice care, Johnathan strongly believes in the comfort and dignity hospice provides to individuals and families in life’s final chapter. For him, every step is a way to honour her memory while supporting a cause that helps others facing the same journey.

This year, Johnathon is stepping up once again to hike for Saugeen Hospice.
