Saugeen Hospice

Providing compassionate end-of-life care to families in South Bruce, Brockton, Hanover, West Grey, Mildmay, Arran-Elderslie, Minto and surrounding areas.

VisionTo provide compassionate and professional end-of-life services to our communities in a residential hospice facility serving southern Bruce and Grey counties.

Our MissionTo plan, design, build and operate a residential hospice in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and our communities. To raise funds and create an organization fully equipped to accomplish the vision..

Our ValuesWe value human life and have great respect for the transition from life to death in a comfortable, dignified, natural environment for our residents and their families, without either hastening or slowing the transition..

The Project

Saugeen Hospice Inc. (SHI) is planning a six-bed residential hospice that will reflect the values and traditions of the region, and provide the compassionate care founded in our principles. Our focus is on planning and organizing key fundraising events, securing donations, and creating awareness about our hospice. Saugeen Hospice Inc. (SHI) is a Charitable Organization under CRA regulations, including the ability to fundraise and issue tax receipts.

The Municipality of Brockton has donated three acres of land in the new Eastridge Business Park (east side of Walkerton), and planning is underway.
